Inspection

So I need to get my car inspected now. No cats, smog pump not hooked up (underdrives), check engine light on. Now, my car should be exempt from emmissions as i didn't drive for more than 5000 miles last year. How do i get the light off, clear the codes?(if so, how)...or before inspection disconnect battery, and light won't come on for 10 minutes or so. Any other ways? thanks

Retrieve the codes and reset the KAM afterwards. Then monitor it to see how long it takes for the light to come back on.

How about fixing the problem? lol... It's more then likely a very simple fix.
