Installed 3g Alt. Issue

I installed a 130amp 3G alternator and everything went smoothly. Works great and my idle dosnt stumble when the electric fan comes on.

But now the stock voltage gauge does not work. What might be the issue?

What year is your car? The wiring changed several times between 1979 and 1993.

Your problem is coincidental, there is no direct connection between the voltmeter and the alternator.
The voltmeter gets power from the switched side of the fuse panel
