just intalled the bbk cai today and wow what a difference, but before i get flamed for saying wow to a few pieces of pipe and a filter. my car already has (from previous owner) a e303 cam, o/r h pipe, and catback. i cant wait to get the track heat heads and intake manifold on. should pull really nice then. then next on the list is long tubes, 75mm tb and maf 80mm? am i getting close to needing new injectors at this point?

you can probably get away with the stockers, as i have almost that same set up except that i have ported/polished E7s and speed density and no problems, so yea i would say you should be safe but i have the feeling people will say otherwise

If you had a 100% stock setup, it shouldn't have made much difference. Otherwise, the other setup was likely a POS setup. MOST setups are a joke! As I said on the corral, BBK "cai" along with the Kenne Bell *true* cold air setup are the way to go.

Believe me, I'm with you. I felt a very noticeable difference. Even though there are some that say the intake and TB give you "zero" gains, and I am literally quoting when I say this.

In any event, I definitely felt a few more ponies when I hit the gas, but all in all it just felt like a quicker and TIGHTER throttle response.

i just took mine off. not because i didn't like it, but because i can't use it with the MAF sensor i got. makes me sad cause now i have to run the filter in the engine compartment.

That sucks man! When I first received my BBK cai, I noticed it came with two different setups: the open element short-ram that runs inside the engine compartment, and the cold air elbow that mounts it into the fender.

Before I got to my friend's house where we were able to grind the hole in the fender out a little more, I had it set up in the engine compartment. I noticed a minor increase in hp, but NOTHING like the gains I felt once we mounted that bad boy in the fender.

Whew! Felt like a different car.

Still does as a matter of fact.

don't quote me on this because I really don't know for sure, but isn't the track heat line for stroker/forced induction combos and the street heat line for more mild combos such as yours?

i just re-read the original post and you're right. the track heat intake and heads are going to be MAJOR overkill for your car if what you say you have is all you have. you're going to lose lots of bottom end.

dont worry that e303 is going to be coming out soon enough and something bigger with some more lope will be going in. cant throw away good heads and intake manifolds now can i.

throwing in a cam with more lope? thats a bad way to look at it, you should be looking at duration and lift and LSA to get a cam that matches the heads and intake well rather than throwing one in with a bigger lope, you could throw a bigger lopier cam in but it could be too much possibly.

and IMO an e-cam will run decent with with TW heads and intake.

sorry to make it look like im just looking to put more lope on it. im actually going to be doing a tfs cam. if you look on summit racing they have 2 different cams and im thinking of going with the more extreme one. how extreme is the second one (more lift) going to be?

***drunk post but i think it makes sense*** just being honest
