I replaced the odometer gear (both main and worm) and installed LEDs in place of the factory bulbs, now my tach sticks at around 2k RPM despite the idle being normal. Anyone have any advice on what I can check? The tach worked perfectly fine before this and it will move slightly when I tap the trip reset.

It's possible you tweaked something... I replaced the odometer gears in mine without issues. I would probably pull the dash back out again. Make sure you clean the dirt/dust out of the instrument cluster window.
