installed lmaf and 42lb injectors and flashed my ecu

Check to see if either of these two things may have happened.

1) The LMAF was calibrated for the 42's (not recommended since it skews load scaling) and the flash was programmed with a stock LMAF curve.

2) The flash was programmed for the stock MAF.

it depends on the size LMAF he has. the 90mm is calibrated from the factory for 42's, the 80mm is calibrated for 30's i think.

It isnt calibrated from the factory for 42's unless you ask for it. The MAF has a specific curve and the EEC Has the variables for the injector slopes. They calibrate MAF's to avoid having to change the injector slopes in the EEC which is the right way to do it.

Guys, stop with the bad information. Ford factory MAF's are not calibrated for any injector size. All transfer functions are handled by the computer and it needs to be tuned via a chip or computer flash.

In the FMS catalog it states that you can have it re-calibrated for use on ther vehicles. Again though, I don't recommend doing it that way.

Not sure what you are reading or if it is for the same thing, but Ford Factory MAF's do not have any calibration. All curves are handles by the computer.

This is from http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=6312

M-12579-L54**

Stock replacement 90mm 2001-04 F-150 Lightning Mass Air Meter

Requires recalibration for use on other vehicles

Could be that they are refering to EEC recalibration, if so the wording is a little misleading.

I understand why you think that, but the recalibration is handled by the EEC. If you put this product on anything other than a Lightning, which has the LMAF settings as a default, then yes, it will require the EEC to be recalibrated for it. That is the required calibration.
