Installed Mach1 chin spolie, its to short

I put the mach1 chin spoiler on my 04 GT and there is about a 1/2 gap on each side of the bumper...anybody else have this problem?

thats normal...if you want it flush at the wheel well you have to set it back about 1/3 inch from the front edge of the spoiler. I'll post a pic in sec to show this.

see the space up front to make it line up at the tire. Your choice, flush at tire you have to set it back abit. otherwise flush up front..gap at tire.

How is it mounted on the Mach 1's? WHich way does ford choose to mount it?

Not sure why it could not have been made a little longer but I prefer the fit flush with the bumper lip so I have the gap on either side too. The factory Mach's are even with the wheel well.
