I finally installed my MSD 6 Offroad and rev control. I was skeptical it would cure my 5500+ rpm miss. Well it did cure it. I can pull right to 6200 now, faster than ever before. I installed it in inside left fenderwell and hid all the wires. Noone will even know its there

I was getting spark blowout at 5500 even though I was gapped at .030 . My last time at the track I was missing badly and could only muster a 12.6@114 and was missing so bad at the top of 4th that I had to hit 5th at the trap.

I also found another issue, My boost was falling off above 5000. I went from 9# from 2000-4000 and by 5000+ dropped to 7#.

Kenne-Bell recommends a minimum 2 1/2 blower pulley, I have a 2 3/8 and underdrive pullies. I think I am slipping a little bit due to the smaller surface area at high RPM. The told me I had to keep my 4.75 underdrive crank pulley and the 2 3/8 because if I used my 6.5 stocker it would give me 17#
They told me this was due to the low clearance on the SN95 hoods. Well I have a Cobra R hood, and clearance won't be an issue. So my next step is to change back to stock crank pulley and increase the size of the blower pulley and keep the same ratio. Hopefully the larger surface area of the 3" pulley will stop the belt slippage.

I still have to solve the MAF/Injector issue but the Ignition problem being resolved sure makes the car pull MUCH better.

I will be heading to Mason Dixon for test and tune this weekend and see if it makes a diffrence in my times.

I hope i can say the same, my MSD should be here tommorow. BTW, how long are the wires/wiring they supply to hook the box up? Because im thinking about mounting mine inside the car, so i would need about 4 foot of wire.

Matt glad to hear you got it running great! I bet you are having loads of fun. Those are sweet times and the cold this weekend will be perfect for you. Damn I wish I could join you there but they alweays kick me off the track there. They know me well as a times violator there and MIR for no approved NHRA roll bar.
