I finally got my 6000K HIDs on Christmas and I couldn't wait to get these suckers in. Recently while driving around in my dads Infiniti with HIDs I realized how HORRIBLE my vision is at night (even with Silverstars).

So I asked for a 6000k kit for xmas and I threw them in today. The install took about 25 minutes and I went in not knowing a damn thing. You simply keep everything stock and all of the harnesses tuck under your air filter and behind your battery. Everything else stays stock and the ballasts connect directly to your battery terminals. It's brainless and easy as cake. Anyone can do it. If you have any questions about the install, please ask.

I didn't take a before shot but I have some after shots. For some reason though, now when the headlights are on, the fogs turn themselves off. I'm not complaining though because when I had just 1 HID in the fogs stayed on and the brightness comparison looked rediculous. So I was going to turn the fogs off everytime I had the HIDs on. I think my car just knew what I wanted.

Anyway, the pictures do no justice to how they really look. They are sickingly bright and I will be expecting some flashes this night when I'm driving around.

I just ordered some Ambo and I was curious about the install. How you described it gives me confidence. I also got the 6000k, and wow do your pictures look great.

I'm pretty good with electrical things, so I dont think I'll have much of a problem.

Like I said, your pictures really make them look awesome. Great job bud.

Yea, I just gotta figure out why when they are on, my Brights light on my dash is dimmly lit. That's the reason why my fogs won't go on when my lights are on.

Let me just say tonight I was able to see a hell of a lot more than I've seen in the near 2 years I've had this car. Hands down. Worth it.

haha just kidding I like em...i'm thinking of just putting a set in my fogs so I can turn them on and off as i need them and still be able to pass inspection. Anyone have a link to who sells the foglight sets? TP where did you get yours?
Looking good Ambo..

It's not rice! They seriously brighten up the road unbelievably. And as for passing inspection, I know someone in the bus.

I'll take some night pics now. I'll post them in 15 min.

I hate staring at those things with oncoming vehicles.

You'll like them a lot when it's dry out, they’ll really bring things into perspective, but you may as well have no headlights at all when driving at night on wet roads. Soft white light shining on wet pavement = teh lose.

I couldn't agree more. But they still light more when it's wet out than the stock bulbs. At least that's how it seemed in my dad's car. When I had my silverstars and it was wet out, I may as weel have been driving with just my fogs on.

Cause that thread made me laugh and someone posted some avatars and I liked this one! I'm gonna actually ask someone over in the Virtual Bodyshop to make me a new avatar. My other one was getting kinda stale.

Thanks to Give Me TP I resolved the issue with my fogs. I had the wiring wrong. Here is what resolved my issue. I'm just posting it here for reference if anyone else has this issue.

Give Me TP:The ground wire on the stock headlight harness connector for both sides should be black. One of the wires in the kit harness connector must connect to this. The other wire in the kit harness should connect to (on a 2003 model) the stock low-beam power wire which is white with a light green stripe on the left side and dark blue with a light green stripe on the right side. The stock high beam power power wire on both sides is light green with a black stripe on both sides and is the one not to use. I don't have the car here now to look at, and this info comes out a wiring diagram.
