Installed new front pads only - Spongy pedal ?

I finished off my front pads at he track Friday so I had to put in new stock Ford brake pads a few minutes ago. Drove the car, and the pedal is spongy. Drove it around the block, and pumped the pedal and it never seemed to get that much better -

Is there a technique to adjusting my brakes, or could I have gotten air in the line somehow ?

Any ideas what I need to do here ?

Hey, im prety sure you need ot just bleed your brakers. Thats the number one cause of a spongy pedal. My braking sucks on my car and i already changed the pads. Im guessing its air in the brake lines, just haven't got around to it.

If you want to make it easy get some speed bleeders for the brakes. You can turn them 1/4 to 1/2 turn and pump the brakes, then tighten them down and put the cap on them. You can also attach a hose to the bleeders and save a mess by running it into a jar.

thanks guys it seemed to get better on my way to work this am. If not 100% better by tomorrow I'll bleed them !

You really should bleed them. And after you've bled them, bleed the mater cylinder. Mine were spongy until I bled the MC.
