Well i always wanted PBR front calipers because my brakes always sux ,BUT i wanna try fix them before i installed new calipers

My problem was is that i had spongy brake pedal (or whatever you spell that) I always change front and rear brake pads with new one from AutoZone but same thing, i have good caipers all way around but nothing, so i try bleed brake fluid with syntetic Valvoline ,so before i bleed brakes i tested 60-0mph and i got 187ft (factory specs are 150ft) thats 37ft more than factory, so i bleed brakes and i tested again and i got wooping 152ft DANG thats just from bleeding brakes, oil was black and i thing thats factory 11 year old oil, i had no air in system but i thing i had moisture, so last weekend i installed PBR front calipers with brake pads from AutoZone (cheap, $24) i bleed front brakes little bit more and last night i tested again 60-0mph and i got 127ft  ,thats more i have expected , don't forget i have heavy a$$ convertible with speaker box and everything , its street wight over 4000lbs and i still have cheap brake pads from AutoZone so there is more if i get performance pads or even sloted rotors

Here is pics how old brake fluid looks like

I just did a Cobra calipers & Rotors swap on mine(97 GT). The difference in braking is night and day. My fluid was the original also and looked like sh@t. I think flushing out the system with fresh fluid made a major difference.

who cares about 60-0... only need to be concerned about 0-60 :D

Thats right ,but only way to find out how your or somebody elses brake is good or bad is test 60-0

Sometime we need some breaking power like when we somehow reach 130mph and need slow down because of something

Do the PBR calipers just bolt up to the stock brackets? Would i need a different rotor size? And will they clear my Waffles?

Edit: And as for those shims, i think he is talking about the brass washers you need to install with the banjo bolts when you replace calipers, they are one time use only, like a gasket of sorts.

PBR calipers will bolt on spindle with little bit griding about 5mm ,99+ Mustangs use same rotors like 94-98s
Here is the link for better explain http://sn95brakes.cjb.net

Shims i talkin about are those you intall between brake pads and caliper, 3 for each caliper (one for top and bottom and one in center of caliper)
