I am buying an o/r x pipe from a guy and he said the rear o2 sensors are to far back to hook up to the wires. Has anybody else had this problem. He has an 04 gt and I have an 03. Thanks.

should not be an issuse as the rear ones are O2 monitors not O2 sensors and all they do is measure the efficency of the cats, so if the X-pipe has no cats then thers no need for the monitors, just cap off the bungs and get someone to tune-out the MIL

Since you have an 03 the bungs should be in the right place for you. On the 04's the bungs were in a different spot on the OEM pipe, so you had to use extensions to get it to work with aftermarket pipes.

Also, check with your local emissions testing procedures (if you have emissions testing) before "turning off" the rear O2's. In some places you can do that but in others the testing machin looks for a "ready" signal from those sensors. If you are the later and they are "turned off" then you will fail the test. MIL's are the common solution to resolve that problem.

Hey Fox,

I actually just bought this same pipe for my 02 GT. I HATE IT!! and yes the wires are to short on also. Not saying you won't like the sound of the exhaust or that your wires won't reach, but they def. did not on mine without the MIL Eliminators. With the MIL E. they DO fit, barely on the passenger side. I had to un-snap/unhook the wire from the bottom of the car (very simple), hook up the MIL E. then snap the plug back on to the bottom of the chassis.

I also have stock headers and stock mufflers. So, I think the mufflers are whats making it sound like there are bb's stuck somewhere in the exhaust.

Good luck and let me know how your's sounds, if it's stock that is.
