Thinking about picking one of these up from SLP, anybody installed one before? Trying to figure out how hard it is. Me and my dad usually do all the work oursevles but he's never done a line lock before. If we can find some instructions (we've never had good luck with what the manufacturer sends) we think we could do this also... hey we tackled longtube headers in a small 1 car garage with jack stands

Do a search for "line lock" or "roll control" on this forum. There is a thread with a link to it that shows exactly how to do it. I put a Hurst on mine, but I understand the SLP is quite a bit easier as it comes with pre-bent tubing, etc.

How much is the kit? I have heard that some cheaper kits have a tendency to rust and stick in one position. I know when I was looking to get one, there were some really cheap kits, like under $50, and then I was looking at one from Hurst I think, and it was like $130.

The SLP kit is $116 from mustangtuning.com and they have free shipping! I just installed mine, there is very little room to work with when installing so you need t o be careful and not strip out the proportioning valve.. I did and so have quite a few others if you do a search on other boards..I found the best way to make sure you dont is to unbolt the prop. valve so everything is loose until you know all treads have been started. then tighten everything up. any questions just ask..

This is good advice when working on any system on a car with multiple fasteners.

Much easier to install the line lock near the ABS controller just behind the radiator.

I would like to see how you have that plumbed in, since both front wheels take different lines off the proportioning valve.. and still have lock up both and not interfere with the workings of the ABS. if you have pics or a diagram please post...

I should note though that I didn't put the pretty red light on top of my dash with velcro though!
