I have heard that you can install an A9L or P computer in a 94-95 5.0 and it will work better with cam changes and other mods.
Is this true?
Is it a direct plug in?
Is anything else needed?
Thanks

I've heard that too. I'm pretty sure that I read in 5.0 and MM&FF about how the 94-95 computers can't handle mods as well as the fox bodies' A9Ls. You can probably do a search on this to find out, or if you saved your past issues of those mags, you can look up the q&a sections. I can't remember if it's plug&play or if you have to swap the harness. I think you have to swap the harness.

You need the PIH(Performance Improvment Harness) kit that is sold by Pro-M. The kit has what you need to use a A9L computer in a 94/95. Go to their web site and check it out.

The kit is pretty expensive and your cash may be better spent on a twEECer or EEC Tuner if you need to change on the fly or a custom chip after all your mods are done.
