I got a clock pod for my car and I have a boost gauge in there right now and I'm going to be putting a coolant temp gauge in there too. Where can I take the wires from the gauge so it will have lights at night? Someone said take it to the light at the ashtray but I dont see how I can get to that unless I take out the whole center consoel. Anyone have a better way or know where else I could hook it up so it dims along with all of the other lights?

Also... where in the firewall can I run the vac. hose through to go to my intake?

Just splice right into them? I think the clock wires might be better.

Yeah , splice into the clock wires, if you wait till I get home I can tell you which ones, or you can just tdo a search. Also, for the boost vac line, take a cloths hanger and shove it towards the front left wheel(when sitting in the car) until you find it underneat, it may take a few trys but once you get it through, tape the hose to the hanger and pull it back up.

Run a wire and tap into your headlight dimmer switch so you can dim the gauge lights b/c the clock one doesn't.

I ran both my gauges to the headlight switch rheostat. My gauges adjust brightness when you turn the headlight switch, just like the instrument panel. I can turn them down and go into stealth mode.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

There is a dimmer wire plugged into the back of the radio, which is the easiest to access. It's the blue one with the red stipe.

All you have to do is take off the dash bezel and the knob is the headlight one. Just tap into one of those if you don't wanna pull out the radio.
