The old tube is out of the car, now i realized that i have to install the IAT sensor also on the new JLT RAM AIR, it says i have to drill a 3/4 hole. What exactly does the IAT do? Do i have to connect it? Does it matter where i drill it or as long as its close enough to the stock setup?

Does it matter what type of drill it is? I was thinking of just using a standard drill bit. The reason i am asking is because i just took it to a BP shop to have them drill a hole for me and the guy told me they dont have the right tool to drill it because it will crack? Is that correct?

All complete, I used a dremel tool and drilled the hole, placed the gromet in and the sensor, works perfect. Thanks for the assistance everyone. Monday morning i am getting the PP Plenum and 75MM TB installed, I am sure i will gain more power with that. Since i have the PI heads and intake, i am thinking of maybe 20rwhp with the JLT and plenum and TB. What do you all think?

I have the JLT intake like you and installed it at the same time with a Accufab 75mm TB and C&L PLenum. While it felt like i di gain some power, it was nowhere near 20rwhp, maybe about 10rwhp or so and the car pulls harder after 3k rpms

I have been driving the car with just the JLT Ram Air, and i can honeslty say it pulls harder from 2500 and up. Still didnt install the 75MM Plenum and TB yet, i am sure it will make a bit more difference. I also bumped up my timing to 14degrees.

Actually the JLT will gain 8-12rwhp all by itself on a completely stock 99-04 GT, so I think 20rwhp with all three is not a bad estimate.

You're kidding right? 12rwhp from a JLT RAI? try about 3-4 and then add the TB/Plenum and you'll get around a total of 10-12rwhp or so. Don't believe what you read. Maybe if you go and throw a JLT on with a TB/PLneum and then get a TUNE you'll see 20rwhp or so, but most of that will probably come from bumping the timing and not so much the new parts.
Yes, 20rwhp from the JLT, TB, and Plenum Combo, plus 15rwhp from some some u/d pullies and then 12rwhp form a catback and 20rwhp from a midpipe, and BAM! 300rwhp so easily

It's not what I read. They have dyno sheets on their site.:nonono:

Yes, except you READ that its gains 12rwhp on their website (reading a dyno sheet is still reading). Im not knocking the intake as i have one as well, but 12rwhp is not gonna happen with just a JLT.

Manufacturer's claims are not really good to go by. Magnaflow claims their catback adds 10rwhp and their x-pipe adds 15rwhp...not gonna happen. Take it with a grain of salt.
If those numbers were all true we'd have some fast ass GT's around here

JLT- 12rwhp
TB, Plenum- 12
Headers - 30
X-Pipe - 15
Catback - 10
Pullies -10
Timing Adjuster - 15

That would put a stock 5spd 99-04GT at about 330-335rwhp and it aint happening. Not being an ass, i just don't like when people "claim" a part adds so much power with no evidence to back it up
