Installing rail mount fuel pressure gauge...QUICK QUESTION

the safe way is to start the car then go in the trunk and on the left side punch the fuel shut off switch. The car will stall out and there will be no fuel in the system. Or you can push on the center of the shrader valve and the fuel will spray out of it untill there is no more pressure.

Yep, basically what he said. The latter I wouldn't recommend, but it works. Just sprays fuel all over the place, and who wants that.

After you push the button for the shut off switch, you will need to remove the wiring connector and reinstall it when you are ready to drive the car again. That resets the switch.

If your car has been sitting for awhile there is no fuel pressure.
But yes, unplug the switch or unplug the pump under the bumper. After you do crank the car over let it run until it stalls out. All the excess fuel in the rails is gone after that.

DO NOT OVERTIGTHEN IT. I dunno why I felt the need but I put the hurk on it and broke the valve and half of it broke off in the connectors for the gauge..Still dont have me a guage that works yet. :( (haven't been able to/or tried to find the right size connections)

:rlaugh: I did the same thing, so I went with an autometer cowl mount gauge.
