I'm really considering the scarebird disc brake conversion for my '67. Since I work in the parts industry I can get all the late model rotors and calipers CHEAP.

But I have a few questions. I guess if I want to add a booster, the best choice is just a stock '67 booster? How about the master cylinder? I found a few that have the same line sizes as the drum brake cars, not all have the same diameter bore. How will this effect braking, especially if I leave my manual brake pedal in place?

Oh, and will I need to change the proportioning valve, or add an adjustable one in somewhere, or will it be ok as is? Thanks!

Easiest and cheapest way to do this with a power booster is to use a 67 disc master with a thread adapter on the front line, and plumb in an adj. prop valve in the rear line- this will keep you from locking up the rears with dire results- especially in the wet!

since the 67 mustang was designed with a dual master cylinder and power brakes in mind, the power booster from a 67 will work just fine.

excellent advice on adding the adjustable proportioning valve.
