i've been meaning (for the last 6 years lol) to install a new speedo gear ever since i did 3:73.
I could of swore there was a write up for instaling a new one, but i'm having trouble finding it. I don't remember if it was on the driver or passenger side of the tranny. and if there was anythign else that needed to be done.

Thanks
Joe

i know it's on the driver's side, and i think (from what i can remember) all you do is remove the cable, take out the old gear, put the new one in, and re-install the cable.

It's just held on by a little snap ring. About a 10-15 minute job, including jacking the car up enough to fit underneath. Or 5 minutes with the stock 4x4 springs.

~Eric~ i only had one bolt and it was 11mm. you sure your talking about your mustang?

thank God i finally switch this out cause my stock gear was chewed to hell i think i had about an 1/8 th of an inch if not less of teeth going around the outside edge.
