I have a '65 coupe that I am fixing for someone. I had to replace the horn ring retainer because the stock one was broken. So, I installed the new one and installed the ring back onto the steering wheel, yet it's SO easy to move back and forth and even twist off. It shouldn't be this easy, so what is the problem? Also, the horns will go off if you turn the ring all the way to the right and shut off if you turn it to the left a little. Pusing the ring does not activate the horns. Need to get it figured out because I need to get the car finished in the next day or so. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
