Whats the rundown on installing a set of used cams?

I have heard some people that its a bad idea and some people say its fine as long as they look ok....

The reason i ask is im considering picking up a pair of used blower cams to put in my car but im a little hesitant putting previously used cams in it....

definitely psi is the only shop i trust, crower stg3 they are in the classifieds section

I would like to build a new motor for my car but dont really want to plunk down 12k to do it...so im considering just putting a nice intercooler setup on and the blower cams and being happy with 425hp as long as the stock block can take it...plus the sound

These are roller cams. Long as the lobes are generally fine, it won't be an issue at all. If it were a slider cam, then you should be very wary.

I would shy away from buying and installing used camshafts
in your mustang seeing how every persons vehicle wears
differently. In my experience some folks have good luck running
used camshafts and some don't.
Camshafts are one engine part I wouldn't cheap out on but
it's your vehicle and do whatever makes you happy.
Also new camshafts are not that much more than used
and you are getting a brand new part for your engine.
The best of luck either way you go though.

I installed a set of Comp 262's that had about 6000 miles on them. After 80K+ miles I've had zero issues.

I think you're going to have PTV problems with Crower stage 3 blower cams and a stock block, they have comparable duration to Comp's 278s but with alot more lift. just warning you now
