so it just came in. do i need to take the interior trim off before taking the old off and putting the new stuff on? it doesnt seem to want to come off.
if youre doing the door to body weatherstripping only thing you have to take off is the door sill plates. other than that it will come out easily. if they are original weatherstrips on the car might have to give it a little love pull.
I always removed the top metal piece, the door sill plate, loosened the 1/4 panel trim and the a arm trim too. I still had a time getting it to slide under the trim. I'm kinda amazed you were able to do it by only taking off the door sill plate.
id loosen the back quarter trim piece. Ive bent the piece before trying to get weatherstrip out without loosening trim piece. All it is, 2 screws, sill, top frame trim, and seatbelt torx bolt.
Reason i say loosen, its easier to pull it back over weatherstrip during reinstall.

Same here. I had to pull the sill plate, kick panel, the metal trim across the top of the door and loosen the a pillar trim and the interior quarter trim. Not hard and didn't take but a few minutes.
