I've already converted the front to disc, but I'd like to convert the back as well. However, I think it might be easier if I were to just find another rear end that already has disc brakes, which leads me to my question. What is my best option for replacing my current rear end with one that came with disc brakes out of the factory?

Lincoln Versailles is the factory disc 9" rear. Its pretty easy if you can fab some stuff just do your own disc brakes. Do some research, but I believe people use explorer rotrs, eldoorado calipers to utulized a parking brake and some weld or bolt on caliper brackets. OR you can spend a ton of money and go with a Baer kit or something similar.

You could always put an 8.8 out of a another mustang or crown vic ect. and you can get a 3.73 gear set out of mid ninties explorer sports. and just weld some new perches on it. Then you'll have disk brakes.

ionescu, keep in mind when converting to rear discs, you will have to alter the flow of brake fluid to the rears. Factory disc/drum combos use a proportioning valve to do this. Since a disc behaves much differently than a drum, you will probably have to get an adjustable Prop valve and monkey around with it to get proper balance.

Also, you will probably have to do some fabrication on the parking brake.
