The other i turned my headlights on and adjusted the brightness of the gagues when snap, it all goes black. I hear the switches are bad on these cars along with the grounds. I wanted some 2nd options before i start tearing thing apart. Heres what I've found so far.

-Headlights work, fogs DON'T
-Cabin light works
-No dash or instrument (heat, fan, foglight switch, etc) lights
-Power mirrors NOT functioning
-Radio face works but the #'s dont light (not sure if they normally do)
-All engine bay fuses are fine
-Blown door lock fuse, couldnt lock doors using doorpanel switch but the remote key worked. Replaced yesterday hasnt blown yet. doors now lock with door panel switch

The fact the door fuse blew leads me to believe theres a short somewhere. Can it still be the switch or ground?

Thanks in advance

Have you check all of the fuses in the Central Junction Box (CJB)? Here's some information.

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/foru...r-swap-wont-fire-please-help.html#post2669271

The power mirror go through fuse F2.19.

The fog lights go through the head light switch gang B2 and F2.38

The dash lights go through the head light dimmer.

If this were my car, the 1st thing to check would be the head light switch.

taillights runnings arnt functioning either. but brakes do

took the switch out this morning and replaced. The original was in pretty bad shape, a lot of green corrosion. I did orginally check CJB and overlooked a blown 30amp fuse. So I replaced the two fuses as well... the new switch didnt fix the problem, and the fuses are blown out.

Seems to be a shorted wire somewhere. Letting my mechanic take it from here
