Instrument panel: blue vs. white vs. stock

hey millhouse, thanks for the info on the site. got my led's in a few days ago and i'm about to install them. this is much easier than doing it the old fashioned way i'll post pics later if my digital camera will cooperate.

That looks killer. I wonder how red would look? My digital window switch lights up red as well as my shift light, would match up nice.

Red would be a no go. Seeing as the stock gauge color is blueish, the red led's will not illuminate the blue very well. For reference....see the "what color led should I use" here...

well i'm all done. it's still daylight here so i car barely see the illumination of course. i can't wait til it turns dark. i bought ten of the blue bulbs, used two for the heat / ac controls, six for the gauges and one for the hi beam indicator and one for the e-brake light. i have autometer vent gauges and an autometer 5 inch tach and have blue led's wired into all three, as well as a ford racing boost gauge mounted on the cowl with a blue led backlighting it. they all look like ford blue. i also have white gauge faces and i'm curious to see how they will react with the blue led's. thanks again millhouse for leading me onto the website. i have wanted to finish this project forever and now it's finally done!

well... dammit

it finally got dark out so i took my girl for a ride. i took about twenty pics of the blue led interior lights, and every single picture came out looking fuzzy and distorted as hell. i need a better digital camera. a friend of mine has a digital rebel, so i will have him snap some pics for me later. this should give you an idea of how it looks though.
