Really? Wow, it looks just like one that a company USED to make a while ago but has since gone out of business. Ah well, money to be spent elsewhere I suppose. Looks great though!!

They did go out of business but I got someone to make this one for $250.
If you're interested I'll see if I can get one made for you.

No paint problems on the exterior of the hood, but I have noticed that the inner paint is fading a little bit. Also, the underside of the hood is fugly with Ford's answer to the mistake of fiberglass hoods. Fugly cutouts.

If I have money to burn in the future, I'll definitely look you up. In the meantime, my next project is going to be rebuilding the rear end so I can run slicks.

Thanks for the offer though. And I'm still waiting for that paycheck for the PMS mount, I hate bi-weekly paychecks!

That's the recall on the hood for when the glue seperates and comes flying off the car. They cut through from the bottom and put new glue in it. I have a different hood, so this is all from what others have said.

I heard it was a safety recall because of the fiberglass shattering into sharp pieces when in a front end collision, so the geniuses at ford decided to glue the metal to the fiberglass and the only way they could do that is cut out holes and glue it. They did the worst job on my car...it looks like they took a pizza cutter to it and just started hammering away.

I just took mine off. It took like 3 seconds. I guess mine went in for the recall too cus it has two big holes cut out of the underneath with glue down inside. It doesn't look to bad, not great, but not horrible either. It looks about as good as it did with the insulation pad off. Plus, if the pad weighs 1 lb., then that is 1/1000th of a second off my 1/4 time! lol
