I just talked to BelAir again and asked once more about insuring my V8 Mustang (with a I4 VIN)... Well to insure it fire, theft, and vandal for one side will cost me $460 a year (taxes inc.) also while the car is in storage it goes down to $290 a year so all in all it will cost roughly $375 a year to insure my Mustang under a normal 1989 LX V8.

They don't have any problems insuring it even if I added 4 more cylinders and that once I start adding the real mods "to just have it appraised" and the insurance will insure the car for what it's worth. Oh and full coverage (2 sides) is only $810 a year. But if I'm dumb enough to wrap my car around a tree, I deserve to pay to have it replaced or fixed. Well if my car would be valued at $8000, it would cost me around $2000 a year to have insured both sides.

So how much are you paying for your Mustangs?

In southern ontario, $1450/yr for a non daily driver! 95 V6 Convertible! Can you say F*&^ing rip off!
I think I driven the car all of 4 times in the last two weeks, and twice was just to move it out of the garage so I could tinker with the lawn mower.

Count yourself lucky to not be paying more .... my policy costs me $2700/year for my 87 5.0 vert, 96 Grand Cherokee and my 96 Olds Supreme and that's with only 1 ticket and 1 claim in 4 years.

Belair ... the insurance that forgives .... my A$$

I just got my insurance renewall today and I went from $863.00 a year to $608.00 cause I use it only summer time....This is with AXA and if I switch my address to Ontario and stay with the same compagny ( AXA ) the prime goes to $4000.00 and this is not a typo. Same car , same driver , same coverage so what about people in Ontario are getting rapped big time with insurance.. This is terrible...

I know Ontario is bad for insurance I almost moved to Lancaster (was going to buy a farm house and lots of land). But the Montreal company I was working for wasn't going too good so I stayed in quebec. But yeah to insure my Escort ZX2 at the time would have been 3 grand if I remember? Compared to $1400 full coverage here.

750$ tax included full coverage on a 2001 Gt with SSQ assurances générale. No claims or tickets in the last 7 years. This price is for a 15000km/year, dont go to work with the car and deductible are 1000$/100$.

Convertable year round, no driving to work, two way insurnace, theft, etc.... $220 per month. My 83 hatch, when its ready and on the road, one way and theft $400 for TWO YEARS .

After working out how much money I would save in income tax, then working out how much my rent would go up and how much insurance I'd pay (1 total loss, 2 speeding tickets), its much cheaper to live in the Quebec side of the Ottawa area .

It would've cost me 3500$/year for full coverage, me 19 years old...

But, it's under my dad's record and I pay 120$/month.
