I recently picked up a used C&L Street CAI Kit for a good price but it's missing the heat shield. Does anyone know where I can buy a heat shield for this thing or am I stuck without one?

Thx!

You should be able to get one directly from C&L. Also, try the dealers who sell that CAI.

It's a fairly simple matter to make your own from Aluminum Sheet metal. I guess it really depends on how much you have to spend on a C&L repalacement.

....just a thought

I considered that, shouldn't be too hard to fabricate one with the right tools. I'd like to get a template of one from the C&L kit.

If someone could be so kinda as to take measurements for me of theirs I'd be able to make one

I built this one in a couple of hours, I used shirt box cardboard and made a template from scratch. First I made the main piece the tube goes through, then the bottom piece held on with some self tapping sheet metal screws and then the back piece, (under the fender somewhat) and screwed that on too.

Ah I found one from JLT for $25. Prob about the cost in materials alone for making my own. TY though
