I don't know much about cars, but I want to get a cold air intake for my GT(being built April 4th!!!). I want something that will add around 30 horses. I've done some Google-searching but I'm unsure of what to get. Can I get some recommendations on a good one? Also, what are some things I should consider for getting the best results. Thanks a bunch. Tootles!

You have a few options - but you'll have to get cold air intake (CAI) and a tune (either on a dyno or via a tuner like SCT or Diablosport).
Do a search here and over on TMS (http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showforum=43). Should help you out.

Yeah, you can't do anything without a tune and expect to get 30 hp out of it. So you should shell out the $300 now to gain hp later.

Check out this site: http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gt.htm

They have a two package deals for the 2005 Mustang. One comes w/ MAC CAI and DiabloSport Tuner for $424.95. The other comes w/ C&L CAI and DiabloSport Tuner for $629.95. I assume that the tuners come with a special tune from DiabloSport that allows the mid 20s gain in HP, but I am not sure.

I don't think any of them "alone" will get you 30 HP. If you can wring 25 HP from a CAI w/ tune you are doing it in tall cotton. Expect around 20 HP. If you goal is to add 30 HP to your car, a CAI with tune is the best place to start. I just added one and it was very easy to install and flash tune with SCT (sorry no dyno numbers). There are several CAI's and tune computers on the market, and if there is a dyno shop in your area get a before and after. Good Luck
