Hey,

Tomorrow, I am planning on fixing a coolant leak by redoing the intake install, with new gaskets and all that. The manual says I need to drain the cooling system, and my question is, it THAT really necessary?

Anyone know?

1. You're not going to fix your coolant leak by replacing the gaskets, it's the plastic that's cracked

2. Ford has a warranty out right now, go to the dealership and check it out

Maybe you didnt see my signature.
I did a PI swap, so my intake is the new '02 one with the aluminum crossover.
The leak is in the back, close to the firewall on the drivers side.

yeah, just remove the lower plug in the radiator and let it drain. You do not need to do a complete flush or anything though, just wanna make sure that theres nothing in the manifold when you life it off the heads
