OK, I did a little searching and I am a little confused. I need a new intake manifold as mine broke the T-stat area. I really do not want to do a PI swap as this is my Daughters car and she does not need any more power.
Thanks to the search I found out that PI does not mean Police Interceptor as I thought it might.
I looked around and found that some say the Dorman is no good. Why? I found this: http://www.carparts.com/details/For...ma96fordmustang19961998replacementrepl3119021
Is it the same or better? Is there a year range that will work for my car? It is a 96 GT with stock 4.6L.
What is my best route? I do not want to send a lot, but also want it to last. I am not interested in any improved performance at this time, just reliable daily driver for my Daughter.
Thanks

Buy the Ford Racing Parts PI intake. The Dorman has been criticized for is lack in quality. The opinion I hear alot is that they don't last. You'll get a higher quality, longer lasting OEM piece with the Ford PI.
