When i went to my dealership today, i asked if the cat-back and intake that i ordered is ok for my car along the lines of warranty, and i was told that the cat-backs are ok, but the intake would void the warranty because it is changing a 'major part of the engine' according to them, any change of major engine parts void it. is this true with anyone else's dealership.

Are you changing it to a Ford intake (ie....Bullit for example)? I would think Ford would accept this intake as it is OEM.

put the intake on and if you have to get it serviced take it off. It's that easy.

yeah I would do that also. but if you want to get real technical tell them you want to see a detailed warranty with everything on it that would void your warranty because that won't void a warranty.

Its all about the quality of the dealership. I went to many crap ones before I found the current place. Thay have no problem with mods as long as they are done right. Obviously if you bring it in after installing a new MAF and it doesnt run right, theyll never cover it, but otherwise they are very reasonable.

They switched my passenger side head because it was warped, despite the mods in my sig. Half of the dealers around here would have run a mile! Not only that, they did it in two days, and even agreed to pull the other one off and have the car sit on their lot for 2 weeks while I had the heads ported and then install them both again. God do I regret not having the cash for that!!!!!!!! Damn wife!!!!!!!!
