Anyone Do this? I have a powerdyne unit im installing this winter and I have a New Intercooler just sittin around from a Turbo Project. I was just thinking about installing the intercooler and the snow performance kit as well. What do you guys think?

I think it sounds like a good idea to install thoes. For my FMIC I didnt have the A/C condensor in my car so that left me a lot of room to work with infront of the radiator.

NO, i think that it will destroy your performance significantly...

wanna race? lol

Yea see I have my AC still on the car and I noticed that as well. I might be taking off the AC though so we shall see.

The FMIC is gonna lower your boost levels some and its gonna be a pain to install so I would jsut run the boost cooler. Although FMIC look badass and there is no such thing as too low of an intake temp.....

Yes it looks like its going to be a pain to install. I have the whole winter to install so if I get something worked out then ill install it. and agreed on the look it is pretty sweet

I have a powerdyne blower. I think that if you fliped it around so that the outlet was was facing towards the front of the car, it might work, though it might not have enough cfm's to make it work as effectivly as it would normally.

I don't think that's possible. If you flipped the blower around, the drivebelt won't line up, the inlet would be in the front, and it would be spinning backwards. Can you re-index the discharge housing a bit to get more room to run the tubing?

Yea see i have no clue on this. Thats why I asked. I just have a intercooler chilling here so I figured why the hell not ya know. If I cant no biggie and ill just post it up for sale. I just spent the last hour taking off the intake and what not to do my rocker swap gotta love it..

maybe i'm not understanding this but what are you going to gain from this. isn't the powerdyne mounted on the right/passenger's side right in front of the TB? how are you going to run big enough tubing around the strut tower? and if your not doing it that way and just putting it before the blower that won't do anything. intercooler only cools to ambient air temps which is the same temp as what is already going into the blower. Even if you did a fox TB setup i dont see there being enough room to run efficient enough tubing to be of any good. I want to say that its not possible...besides if it was, wouldn't vortech or paxton make one for our cars already

I think the biggest issue you would need to address would be the blower outlet. The blower has a 90* elbow straight off the compressor outlet. You either need to cut most of this off, and have a straight 3" pipe welded on the compressor outlet, or make one hell of a tight 180* bend from the compressor to the inner fender area. The actual mounting of the cooler should not be an issue at all, as it can easly fit up front in front of the radiator/condensor. It can be done, but is it worth the work, to you? Sell it, re coupe some money and use that towards a Snow kit, or such.
