Anyone have any idea why the interior and exterior lights pulse, bright to dim, and vice verse on a 66 coupe? More noticeable at idle.

Bad ground or bad voltage regulator.

Yep. When my lights were doing that in my '68, I installed a new voltage regulator and the problem went away.

I was having the same problem, pulsing lights, CD player would lose power. I added a battery negative to chassis ground and a block (intake manifold bolt) to chassis ground and the problem went away...

It sounds like a bad alternator or voltage regulator. Mine did the same thing for a short before the alternator failed. I replaced both the alt and voltage regulator and the problem was fixed. I especially noticed it at night with dash/interior lights, etc.

Thanks guys, Im def. changing the voltage reg. I don't think I've replaced it since I got the car in 87. That should do it.
