Under the dash between the column and the center of the dash is a small black box with what looks to have a speaker inside, can't remember what it's for, maybe key chime? I pulled the plug on mine.

If it does not sound like your door chime and your car has an Air Bag then the Diagnostic Monitor is most likely the source, it is a blue box in behind the Climate Controls.

If the door chime is faint, which is what I think you are asking, the door chime is under the steering column. Open the door with key on, find the door chime and see if you can move it. I had that with my coupe and when I moved the door chime slightly it came back to full volume sound. Not sure why, but it did. If it is the chime itself you might want to check a junkyard for one.

Possible if the reason it's faint is because it's burning out. It is an electrical device. Not saying that's what it is but you'll want to unplug it, remove it, smell it, and possibly replace it
