ok so i have a 88 fox with a gray interior and im swapping to black. will a black dash out of a 90-93 work in my 88? I also got black rear 1/4 panels they are out of a 91 they look like they will work from what i can tell with only slight differences like the shock covers. any info would help especially with the dash!! thanks

Yes! The dash will work no problem. Ive done a black interior swap myself, lots of work but fairly easy work. I had an 88 gt i did on, And I took it out of a 93 4 cylinder, dash and all. I also basically robbed the junk yard i took it from, they sold me a whole black interior for 250 bucks, the entire interior

The dash is gonna mount no issue at all. I cant remember, but you may need the new style heater control assembly. Not 100 percent of this though

there is some minor differences between the two dash styles.

the way the hvac controls mount and the trim piece around them. the fuse panel is also different. your earlier style has a different knee cover piece and a seperate fuse cover. the 90+ dash has a one piece knee cover panel and the fuse box is relocated down lower and basically exposed.

It will fit. This is a 1990 interior in my '88

There are some changes and differences you need to pay attention to, but nothing is a showstopped. 1990 black seatbelts are the only year that will work, so make sure you get them from an actual 1990

Your AC controls and trim piece will work just fine, but you will have to drill a few new holes in it to mount into the 90-93 dash.

I did not use the metal part of the knee pad when I installed mine, and also cut out a place for the fuse box in the "stock" location.
