Where are the interior lights located on a 94 Mustang GT convertible?

On my '95 the rear view mirror had the light(s) to replace the dome light if that is what you mean.

I was wondering the same for a 2001. I have a map light on either side of the rear view mirror each with their own switch. They do not work but I assume they will come on with the headlight switch.

Should there be any floor illumination as well?

Not sure about your '01, but the mirror lights should work independent of the headlights. Those bulbs do burn out. I want to say there was illumination in each side well under the dash(??).
