hey guys,

i need a new dash pad. my car lived in new mexico and arizona all its life (rust free baby haha :D ). since its life has been in the heat and sun, it looks like no one has ever replaced it (cracks and rubber coating turned to a hard solid). I can press down on it with a pinky and make it sound like i stepped on potato chips, its bad. so when i buy it, should i go to the local mustang shop to get it taken out/replaced? i can buy one for as low as $295-ish. if anyone has replaced these themselves, was it pretty easy? or do you have to glue it on and all that?

any help is much obliged,

taylor

Those plastic caps are not very nice, and you need to have a solid foundation to glue them to, which sounds like a problem in your case. Get yourself a nice new dash.

did you have trouble pitting it in? it seems like it doesnt want to fit as easily as the original. did anyone have to trim it up a little?
