Let me know what you guys think about this... I'm planning on putting on an X-pipe (either Bassani catted or UPR O/R) and Flow American Thunder Cat-back in the next few weeks. Now I want to have a bad ass sound coming out the back, but don't want to be overwhelmed inside the car. However, I don't want to trade off the killer sound outside either, so what I was thinking was laying down some Dynamat underneat the carpeting on the floorpans to reduce some of the ground and exhaust noise. What do you think?
If nobody thinks it'll work I'm not going to waste my time because I'm not going to trade off the exterior sound for a little interior sound, but it was just an idea I had. Would love to hear any input... Thanks

From what I have heard and I am not sure but laying down sound mat adds alot of weight to your car. So it is kinda up to you of you want that extra weight. I can't see it making that much more noise inside your car, but by no means am I a professional.

just my 2 cents.

I put dynamat in my trunk and my doors & rear speaker area.
Dynamating my doors and rear speaker area really helped my Mach 460 sound much better.

Dynamating my trunk really helped cut down the Flowmaster Drone.

I also heard the elemental designs brand stuff weighs a lot less than dynomat if your worried about weight. I think it's called edead or something.

I have dynamat extreme, um everywhere....floor boards, doors, under back seat, and entire trunk. I noticed a huge difference in interior road noise after I installed it all. I still have a lot of road noise, but then again I have a vert...

Dynamat is heavy, but so are speakers and subs and A/C and all the other comforts of a daily driver, its worth it in my opinon.
