I'm painting the rear hatch panels starting with a couple of coats of laquer primer and a few coats of the real color. How long is it supposed to dry between coats? How long should the primer dry before I use the real paint?

the primer dries pretty fast...but i did 20 to 30 minutes between coats on my interior and then let it dry overnight before i tried putting it back in the car and haven't had any problems with it chipping off or anything. I've armor alled it several times with no problems. The one thing I learned with paint is......don't rush it. You will regret it...so I just took my time and was very happy with the results. People comment on my super clean 89 interior all the time. Goodluck!
