Interior Question

Hey guys, I've got a question concerning how to take off the material on the door. The carpet on the door (the insert on the door trim, not sure of the name) see pic

see the arrows on the picture, how to you take those off?

Take the door panel off and behing it the door panel is covered with plastic. Take the plastic off anf there are metal clips bent around holding them on. Bend the clips up and pull off the piece.

But I think the carpet on the bottom is just glued on as you can buy replacement carpet for it from 50resto and other places. Probably just pull that off. When I replaced the 1/4 trim carpet on my vert, it was just glued on with a few stratigically placed staples that needed to be removed.

That's right but the insert above can be removed once you pop the door panel off and bend the clips behind it.

thanks for the replys guys! I'm going to take those off soon that soon because I'm getting them redone to match my 99 stang seats along with my rear seats. and all new carpet from ACC in graphite so it will all match

I think you can tell which ones are the new ones

As mentioned just bend the metal tabs to pop the top panel off. The carpet on the bottom is stapled on (at least mine were). Good luck.
