That little pesky light keeps coming on whenever it feels like. I don't even have to brake hard for it to pop on and everything seems to be working just fine. I did to a dual caliper upgrade on it, but I don't think any of the sensor or lines were damaged. Plus if a sensor/line was damaged, the light would come on when I turned the car on right?
The light does shut off when I restart the car if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Eric

BTW- I tried searching, but couldn't find anything on the topic

See here for ABS code pulling.

There's a chance it's a wheel sensor, esp if the light comes on after you use the ABS in the rain or after hitting a big bump while braking. The light normally goes off upon shutting the car off and starting it again.

Definately address the issue and fix it though.

Good luck.

Thanks for that link. I will give that a shot and see if it works out.

With all due respect, I'm not sure I'd follow the above advice. It's not like we're discussing something important like brakes.

Furthermore, I wouldn't diagnose someone's brakes from a keyboard. I don't even see a code posted which would allow someone to make an assumption about what the issue actually is.

Y'all know I'm a pretty nice guy, but I don't want to see someone get hurt because of an issue (or not having braking performance at 100%).

I agree going fast is great but if you got to stop fast and keep control you want that abs, and if that light is on its deactivated. I would definatly pull codes. Its probably a speed sensor by your symtoms.

I couldn't agree more, brakes are THE most important part of any car. I didn't mean to imply that just because I run around with a flaky ABS light that anyone else should ever neglect any sign of brake failure.

It's totally cool. I knew where you were coming from. I get an occasional light myself but I know it's the RR sensor acting up. I'm sure you know exactly why your light comes on too. I just didn't want someone searching a year from now to think it's acceptable to ignore the light.
