Within the last month, my mustang has started acting up a little. When I drive it for some time (especially when it's scorching hot out) I will shut the car off, and when I try to restart it the fuel pump will not power up. By simpling allowing the car to sit a few minutes and cool, everything will straighten out and the car will start. The fuel pump does fine when the car is running as well. I'm thinking its the relay getting hot in the CCRM and I need to replace. Do I sound like I'm on the right track??

I'd check the FP pins at the CCRM. If you have the FP relay coil energizing and the common terminal has power but there's no output (while the issue occurs), then your postulation sounds good.

Good luck.
