Finally. Just cut my carpet away a couple of weeks ago. That is pretty scary stuff.

I installed aftermarket aluminum race pedals awhile back.....happened to me. the edge of the gas pedal was hitting the carpet and caused a small rip. One day it got caught and the car was WOT in 2nd gear. Bounced the limiter twice and turned the car off, coasting into a parking lot. Thank god no one was in front of me at the time. Scary stuff.

Fixed the problem and it never happened again.
