Is a Factory Five roadster a mustang?

I was just watching there DVD this morning. If you are intrested in a kit go to there web site and order there info package. Even if your not going to get a kit car get there video. It is free and included in there info pack. Gives a lot of info and history of the company and Cobra kits.

Think now you have too register them as the year you built it. I just got done working on one, and the owner was saying something about that. His is registered as a 65 with a blown EFI motor. And he was telling me that now they have to be registered as the year they are built to meet smog rules.

my dad has one of those flathead ford motorcycles, and its on a 74 ??????honda???? frame and has a 38 flat head ford motor on it. I think its registered as a 74. I know he has antique plates on it though.
I guess that really wouldnt matter though beings the factory fives arent built off of a production chassis.

With regard to emissions of a Factory Five roadster, it will depend on your states regulations - it will vary from state to state - some are real easy like WA state, and some are pretty strict. In some states you can register it as a '65 and be exempt, and in others it has to be registered the year you built it. If you are interested in an FFR, go to www.ffcobra.com and ask away - great website!

My father in law just finished one. He had to register it as a 2006. WHat a mess. Gotta love NYS. But once it's all said and done, it's a sweet ride. Even the factory 5.0 drivetrain feels unreal in a 2000 # car.

Having to register as a 2006 must suck :( Hope I can register as a 65. TN has no testing but we may some day.
