The key word here is "worth". Very subjective. Many will say it is, and it is to them. I'm a cheap bastard, so I got a TFS plenum ($99) and a FRPP 70mm tb ($89). Some would say even this is not worth it, but what do they know.

ok so based on dyno numbers and charts are they any better than the tfs or c&l setups. i guess that would put it more in perspective.

i believe it is worth it if its used lol, i found a accufab plenum and 75mm t/b with about 1,100 miles on it and it still looked brand new. I paid $125 shipped for mine.

You do need to decide for yoursef because everyone has their own definition of "worth". For me, reading the different articles with dyno runs on an N/A car there was only a few hp difference between the high end Accufab and the lower end plenums (i.e. C&L and TF). I too went with the (new) Trick Flow plenum combo with FRPP 70mm TB and saved a few hundred dollars. My stang is a 98 and has a small stock TB so for me, this combo was worth it. Going with the Accufab for a couple more hp at a cost of another few hundred was not "worth" it for me. I'm putting it towards a tune.

I bought a cheap MAC 75mm TB and it was crap. Sold it at a loss and bought an Accufab 75mm TB. It's perfect and I still run it with my blower.

I bought a C&L Plenum and it was okay but if I had to do it all over again I would have bought the Accufab.

But now I have a blower so the plenum is a moot point. But I still love my 75mm Accufab throttle body.

I have it from a good source that the new BBK elbow/TB that is all in one makes about 5-7 more RWHP than the Accufab. Plus its price is pretty decent too.

No tb/plenum makes 7rwhp...5rwhp Max...unless you have a blower...

I do not have a scanner so I can't post up my dyno slips.

With my Magnaflow cat back my first duno run was 228.59 RWHP / 262.31RWTQ. Then at a different shop after the Accufab Plenum with 70MM TB my dyno run showed 243.6RWHP / 285.7RWTQ.

Both shops were using a DynoJet, so maybe it was a better operator second time but still pretty good gains. First one was done in April, second early May so weather condidions were fairly close way back in 2004.

I indicated in my first sentence I cant post them.

Trust me I was surprised as I did not expect to see that much of a gain. If you want to see a copy shoot me a PM with a mailing address and will send them off.

Besides we all know those numbers don't mean squat as it's all about how the car does at the track.

very true. sorry i didnt mean to come off as rude but ive just never heard of gains that high. Congrats though! Maybe that has something to do with you getting the 70mm instead of the 75mm. Lots of people opt to go with the 75mm because its bigger and better with a blower but realisticly if your car is n/a or not seriously modified the 70mm i think is a better choice...

I have a trickflow with summit (basically trickflow) 75mm TB and it works perfect. I am glad I went the cheaper route for a change!

well do you think that long tubes, o/r prochamber, magnapacks, jlt cai, dyno tune, with upper plenum would be good for a 75mm tb. i figure it would.

Accufab quality and finish is second to none. The old saying you get what you pay for. Sure others are good or ok, but accufab quality is by far the best.
