I am considering putting borla atak exhaust on my 2012 5.0. The only thing that is stopping me is if its actually worth the money. Magnaflow competition doesn't sound bad but I feel like I hear quality in borla instead of just loudness.

Borla is made of the best SS, Magnaflow is really good but quality and fitment Borla is the best. Borla is the OEM Ford manufacturer.

I agree with the statement about Borla quality being great. I have the cat back with x-pipe & really like it. Mine is the stinger not as aggressive as the ATAK but great. They provide the exhaust for the Ford Lightning pickup from the original on.

Yes they are worth it. I have the Borla S and they fill the cutouts perfectly and sound great. Look at it this way, you will be listening to the exhaust for the entire time you own the car, might as well get what sounds great to you.

I also have Borla catbacks. I used the medium sound type - Borla S-type Stingers. Great sound, quality built, no drone, and a 1,000,000 mile warranty. Another quality built catback is from Corsa. Like the man said above, you're going to be listening to them for as long as you own the car. At least in a marriage you can get a divorce.

Borla is worth it. I put on the Borla ATAK exhaust and it's very nice sounding when on the throttle, but when I'm just crusing it's calm as a sleeping tiger and there's no drone!

My 2011 Saleen came with Borla ATAKs from the factory. They sound incredible.

I bought my Saleen brand new in January, and these Borlas are what they had on it. I have seen other new Saleens on E-Bay that show pictures of the underneath, and they have Borlas on them also.

Thanks everyone for responding. I ordered the borla xr-1 headers and the ATAK full cat-back system.

Tell me how that is. I installed the BBK headers and BBK shorty x-pipe. They were a lot cheaper....

I think the Borlas sound awesome, but my car already had Roush Exhaust... and it sounds Bada$$!! No sense spending money on a new exhaust when I already have aggressive sound. I need to do cams, CAI and headers soon... can't wait 'til i get my bonus!

Yeah I think Borla sounds the best although the Roush exhaust does sound good. I have CAI tune headers exhaust and gears being put on at the end of this month. Just waiting for everything to come in.
