first off when you are talking coil-overs you should be talking about wheel rate since that is what becomes unmatched when mixing it up.

hey smarty, you have to change the spring rates when the wheel rates change.

the wheel rate changes as a result of spring rate changes.

that is all.

more questions for ya Ben

After doing a decent amount of research I think I'm going to follow the same line you did. decent upgrade now, to allow for a premium upgrade at some point in the future (koni yellows)

Do you know if Koni reds fit on the MM front coil over kit you have? I think they should. And do you have any thoughts about them vs. the tokico illuminas?

Just stumbled across the D&D motorsports - the price looks right.

Right now I'm leaning that direction with some tokico 5 ways (1st place) vs. Koni reds (second place, internal adjustment - bit of a PITA) and probably somewhere around a #350 front spring

the koni's should fit--however a call to mm will eliminate any doubt.

i chose the tokico's for economical reasons--i have not been disappointed. i also ran mach 1 shocks/struts for a year or so in my bolt-on phase and was not real impressed with them(they are tokico's as well). it should be noted however that those shocks are not really a performance shock, but more of a daily driver/oe/comfort ride.

however when the time comes(when the chassis is ready) to do rear coil-overs i will change out to koni's.

of course the panhard bar is paramount, but if you can fit it in your budget the mm offset control arms netted me an additional 0.35deg pos caster without moving my caster plate.

This is the only opinion I've found that's directly related to the coil overs from someone that has actually used them.

Well, for the crap people all over have dished out concerning D&D components, I like my D&D coilover kit even more now. The kit uses a notched spring perch and a notched jam ring, and the kit included 2 spanner wrenches. I've not had a problem adjusting ride height, although the front tires were unloaded when I did the work.

found another quote (I'll be adding opinions whether it is good and bad, but only from people who have used it...I don't really want speculation)

i love the d&d kit, im on my 3rd kit. awesome quality and very easy to install and adjust. you can't go wrong with this kit. if your interested pm board member sonic03snake for a good price.

I will keep looking simply because even if I were to just key the D&D kit, and then go with some hypercoil springs from steeda et. all I'd be coming out around $240, which is less than the Maximum Motorsports kit that doesn't have springs

That said, I'll be going with MM for many other components (and potentially the coil overs also - depending on what I find)...I just think their coil over kit is a tad over priced for what you get.

strange, considering how competitively priced their CC plates and Clutch kits are
