Is my caliper seized?

Rear caliper on a 01 base.

We just were not able to get the right rear piston to rotate back in.

Tried just about everything from the $10 cube tool to some plyers. Even unscrewed the bleeder screw a little bit to try and get it to go back in and it still won't.

Parking brake was not on either.

There maybe something small we missed?

I had a rear caliper freeze up like that as well, the lever the E-brake cable attaches to on the caliper was stuck and holding. I would try beating it a bit and turning it both ways.

Well, I have neve had any luck with the "cube". I have always rented the piston compresser tool that Auto Zone rents. It is part number 37111 if I am not mistaken.

IF then it does not move, i would lean towards the frozen caliper.

Are you sure that it is on the e brake side as well?

This was on the rear right we had the most problems with. We also wacked it with some really big stuff and didn't move.

I used the square crap thing from autozone and pliers both, couldn't get it to move. Rent the full size tool, it wedges itself inside the caliper to twist and push the piston back it, and it won't twist in your hand like the square tool

I looked like a monkey f**king a football when I tried using the square tool
