Is The Bullitt Suspension A Noticeable Difference Over Stock 02?

i want to get lowering springs but i see the bullitt suspension kit is only $300 and it comes with springs,shocks,struts, and sway bars. i know the bullitt springs don't go as low but there are a couple of bullitts at my work and they have a pretty good stance. has anybody made the change for my model of car? is it a real noticeable difference? how much better would the eibach kit be? it costs $500 more to replace with all eibach parts. i guess the real question is if i drove a bullitt and i drove a gt with eibach springs, shocks, struts, and sway bars would i be disappointed with the bullitt setup?

Eibach dampers are junk are have quality issues. The Bullitt setup is one of the best handling kits out there for the money.
You may want more of a drop, so you can substitute other springs then sell the Bullitt springs on Ebay or something

I like the Eibach Pro kit drop. It's 1.5" and sets just right. I'll be buying Bilstein shocks/struts though. I thought about the whole Eibach suspension kit but after a few discussions with some Stangers on this site I'm choosing against the Eibach dampers/struts. The consensus is that if you want to improve your ride quality, you can't beat Bilsteins, and for me the Eibach Pro Kit springs are perfect. Any lower and you'll be scraping, any higher and it's not worth buying springs.

i enjoy my pro kit. if you care about ride quality buy some adjustables. you can probally get kyb agx's preety cheap, and i like them. or you could go with some nicer, more expensive ones also. i wouldnt waste my time, or money on the bullit kit tho, they are an improvement, you could get something way nicer for 100-200 bucks more.

The bullitt kit only lowers .75".. its more like a stock replacement than a very noticable upgrade. Nice kit for some improved handling, but You are gonna want H&R Race springs and Bilstein's at least if you want a noticable height and handling difference (they lower 1.25")

the real question is what will you be doing with it? if you're autocrossing or road racing, the bullitt probably will disappoint. if you just like to take offramps at a few dozen mph over the posted limits, ull probably be happy with the decrease in body roll and slightly lower stance of the bullitt. the ~$300 price was what sold me though.

i don't do autocrossing. i just want a mix of better handling and better traction. i have 4.10's with stock rubber but i don't want a pure drag race setup. i only go to the track once a year. if you buy adjustables can you adjust them for better handling or better traction. if so how do you do it and how hard is it. i thought it was around $500 for adjustables.

i was just at stangsuspension.com looking at the bilstein shocks and struts. they have ones for the cobra and some they just call heavy duty. which ones would be better for my gt.

I'm getting the Bilsteins HD.

I'm sure the Bullutt Suspension is good. Probably a good feel and a good handling for the short drop. With the Eibach's, because of the bigger drop, a very good shock is needed. Trust me, with that amount of drop the ride gets rough after a while. I left my shocks/struts stock when I dropped my car so now I'm in need of a really good shock. But like I said, for the .75 drop I'm sure the Bullet set up is great compared to stock.

243 HP???? Why's that? Doesn't it come stock with more than that, especially being 5 speed?

~260 hp stock, but at the flywheel. the 243 is at the rear wheels. stick and auto cars have the same flywheel hp, drivetrain loss hasnt come into play.

03 cobra bilstein struts will work for a GT, but the shocks won't. The HD is the same as Sport for the rear. You can also purchase at www.bimmerparts.com if you can't find something. I ordered from stang suspension for my rear bilstein's just fine.

theres pics in my profile, hard to see the drop unless its up against a stock one. i bought from gefracing.com, they are $400 there, i dunno where the original poster saw 300, unless it was a package without sway bars or something.
