Is the P-51 or RR intake manifolds worth it?

Here is the deal: I am pretty sure my setup could benifit from an aftermarket intake setup. Normally I would be inclined to just get the accufab T/B and plenum BUT my lower intake is a POS. When it cracked back in January EVERY place was out of the FRPP part, my only other option was the Dorman replica intake. Granted, many people use this intake and dont have any problems with it, but for me I cant remove half of my plugs and the coil packs dont stay tight. SO now that I have to look at buying the hopefully better made Ford intake manifold, im wondering if I should just look at the p-51 or the RR manifolds? I REALLY want 300RWHP :hail2:

What do you guys think- Please no one speak of the CRAPPY professional products manifold...:notnice:

i don't think you'll benefit much from P-51 with your setup. Not much to make $1300+ worth it anyway.
You prolly benefit more with P&P head, and really good tune. then after THAT, I say go with intake.
I personaly like RR intake's long runner for lowend torque

god that reichard one is fugly. I would be inclined to just spend my money on a PI manifold, but if money is not an object, then either the Bullitt or the P51 will do the trick, and will really benefit you when you start doing other major mods (ported heads, etc)

Screw that. Get cams if you want more NA power. Or ported heads I guess. You wont get much with a new intake, get the plenum stuff if you want a small increase.

Why dont you have pulleys anyway or a tuner anyway?

I will probably do pulleys some day but I wanted to get the exhaust/intake/cam done first. I just put cam in before the intake because I was getting frustrated with small gains.

Im not going to p/p the heads because I just changed the head gaskets and I know what a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS it will be. I wanted to p/p the heads when they were off but I just bought the cams and tuner and couldnt afford 'em.

I didnt see that at the bottom of your sig. Good move. I still wouldnt spend the cash on the intake though... what about suspension / traction. Are you still runnning stock wheels? Wheels/tires make a dramatic improvement. LCAs would be nice too.

How do you like the xcal2?

Its ok. It has its hick-ups but so far so good. I have BFG tires that are great street tires. As far as wheels they are stock which are fine for right now. I just want my engine to breathe a little better; then I will build up the rear end and slap on lca's with a panhard bar.
